For this one, I did the water as soon as I got there – but only got to the sand much later, when the tide had gone out. You can see a lot more rock in the photo, taken just before I left.
I think I took this photo when I decided on the subject – but it had gotten late, dusk, by the time I finished – which is why the painting is so much bluer.
